Hiking the Mescal Trail near Sedona

Today we did a 2 1/2 hour loop. Part of it followed the edge of a red cliff face. It was a spectacular hike on a gorgeous day! 

MacDowell Mountain Regional Park

Diane and I enjoying our hike, and the Mexican poppies, on the Scenic Trail this morning. We are trying to get really fit for Israel!

Keeping fit in Arizona

Diane and I are in Paradise Valley this week and this morning we hiked the Granite Mountain loop trail in the MacDowell Conservancy in Scottsdale. We came across huge boulders, massive saguaros and soap tree yuccas that were starting to show their flower buds. The hike took 2 1/2 hours and it was a splendid day for it.
