Diane and I are planning to make trip to Israel in April, 2016. We are sisters. Diane really wanted to go and I have never been there. Our husbands are not interested, at this time, to join us so now we are going together, the two of us.
We were going to go with a small group but this fell through because of lack of interest, probably due to the disastrous fall of the Canadian dollar in the last year or so. But we are determined and have managed to organize the trip. Thanks to Jeff for figuring out the flights. Now we have to just wait patiently until April.
As I said, I have never been to Israel. The closest that I have come to Jerusalem is the Jerusalem Grill here in my home town of Surrey.
I am planning to reread the four gospels in the Bible to reacquaint myself with all those Biblical places made famous by Jesus. I will read each book in one sitting to get the full effect. I am Christian but am very unsure how I am going to react when I get there. I even might get turned off by all the commercialism around the holy land. So, we shall see. I plan to blog on a daily basis when I get there and I will certainly reflect on how I am reacting.
