April 13 - Museum Day

We had more rain so going into museums was a good idea. The rain brought out the smell of lavender. We began the day by visiting a church that commemorates the visit of Mary and Elizabeth. There is a lovely statue of those two as well as the Magnificat in many languages. 

Visiting the Holocaust Museum was a harsh experience. We met many young soldiers in there. The next museum was the Israel Museum where we saw a replica of early Jerusalem as well as a display of the finding of the Dead Sea Scrolls in 1947. 

Everything is super interesting but we are tired. Still a bit of jet lag, I guess.
